Muscle Minute #51: Perfection Isn’t the Goal—Consistency Is
"The goal isn’t to be perfect. It’s to be consistent and always improving."
A lot of people struggle with perfectionism. Doing things the proper way is important, but when it starts holding you back from taking action or seizing opportunities, that’s when it becomes a limiting factor.
I always tell myself, "G, this isn’t going to be perfect, so don’t worry about that. Just focus on the reps, progress, and learning from them."
I focus on consistency, not perfection. If I want a chance to perfect something over time, it means getting better—because actual perfection doesn’t exist. Holding yourself to that unrealistic standard isn’t fair to you.
