43) A Path to Confidence

Many think that I came out of the womb a confident cat. I can assure you that this wasn’t the case at all.

I wanted people to pay attention when I was at the front of the room. Not because I need my ego stroked, but because I want them to feel it.

Here’s the thing: a lot of people walk around with fake confidence. That’s not confidence, that’s arrogance. It’s not real. They want you to think it is.

So how do you build real confidence?

It’s the time and work you put in. The work you put into your workouts, conditioning, nutrition, relationships, career, and personal development. It’s all the hard shit you have to go through. And even though it’s hard, there’s always something on the other side of it.

I can tell the difference between real confidence and fake confidence. That’s not arrogance, that’s experience.

I’ve worked on mine for years. I might not catch it immediately, but if you’re around me long enough, I’ll see it. I urge you to commit to a path of confidence. It pays dividends in how you move, how you speak, how you decide, and how you operate.

What do years of confident decision-making lead to? Belief. The belief that you can handle whatever comes next. And when you believe that, you win.

That’s the path of confidence. That’s the path you’re on. That’s what I’m here to help you with. I know what it feels like to stand in front of a room, know your shit, feel strong, and be on your game. I also know what the opposite feels like. I’ll take the first one every time.
