This never about abs
When the 2026 #IWANTABZ Contest started, Colton wasn't entering from an ideal situation.
He was coming off a shoulder dislocation. For many people, that would have been the perfect excuse to wait until things got easier.
He chose a different path.
βWhen the contest started, I was coming off a shoulder dislocation. It wouldβve been easy to sit back, make excuses, and wait until things were βperfectβ againβ¦ but I saw it as an opportunity to prove something to myself.β
Part of that motivation came from watching someone close to him. His wife, Alyssa.
The year before, Alyssa had shown what was possible through consistency, discipline, and daily effort. Watching her transformation helped Colton realize that success doesn't come from shortcuts.
It comes from showing up.
βLast year, my wife proved whatβs possible through discipline and consistency. Watching her made me realize two things: sheβs incredibly strong, and sheβs not doing this alone.β
This year, Colton wanted to stand beside her. Not just as a husband. But as a teammate.
βI wanted to match that effort and show that weβre building this lifestyle together.β
For Colton, though, this journey went beyond the two of them. He has three kids who are always watching. He coaches baseball, and those kids are watching too.
βI can talk about hard work and dedication all day, but if Iβm not living it, it doesnβt mean much.β
That became the driving force behind his transformation.
Every workout.
Every meal prep.
Every healthy choice.
This wasn't about chasing perfection. It was about leading by example.
βThis journey gave me the chance to show what it really looks like to commit, to push through setbacks, and to stay consistent even when itβs hard.β
Along the way, Colton learned something bigger than how to lose weight. He learned how powerful simple daily choices can be.
Skip the fast food, prep your meals, choose movement over sitting still, and putting in the work.
Day after day.
The result? A 29-pound transformation.
But the number on the scale isn't what he's most proud of.
βThrough this process, I didnβt just lose weightβ¦ I gained confidence, discipline, and a lifestyle thatβs here to stay.β
This wasn't about abs. It was about longevity.
Being there for his wife, kids, and being the example he wants others to follow.
