The Story of Alyssa Newell // 2026 #IWANTABZ

“Discipline will always outlast motivation.”

Alyssa didn’t come back to #IWANTABZ 2026 hoping to prove people wrong (she placed 2nd in the 2025 contest).

She came back to prove that her success was never luck to begin with.

“I’m back for round two of the 2026 #IWANTABZ competition… and this time, I’m not leaving anything up for debate.”

After her first appearance in the contest, Alyssa heard the comments.

“Lightning doesn’t strike twice by accident. When it happens again, it’s not luck… it’s a pattern.”

That pattern was built through consistency, sacrifice, and discipline.

  • Saying no to pizza and donuts at work
  • Meal prepping multiple times every week
  • Choosing the gym over the couch
  • Showing up even on the days she didn’t feel like it

“I didn’t take shortcuts. I didn’t take a quick-fix shot. I put in the work… every single time.”

Alyssa’s goals for this year’s contest went beyond just losing weight.

  • She wanted to become stronger
  • Build muscle
  • Set an example for her family
  • Encourage others
  • And chase history by becoming the first female winner ever

But the journey wasn’t perfect. Toward the end of the contest, Alyssa injured her back and could barely train the way she wanted to.

“I couldn’t workout to my full potential and I couldn’t even flex without pain. I was ready to give up.”

That moment could have ended her momentum. Instead, it became the turning point.

“There came a moment where everything clicked… where I could finally see through the trees.”

That shift changed everything. Alyssa stopped looking backward and fully committed to moving forward.

“Growth demands focus, discipline, and the willingness to outwork yesterday’s version of yourself.”

That mindset carried her through the pain, frustration, and doubt.

And one quote continued to fuel her every day: “Like Jay Cutler said, ‘Stick to the plan, not your mood.’”

At the end of the challenge, Alyssa didn’t just walk away with a physical transformation, she walked away with proof.

Proof that consistency works.
Proof that sacrifice matters.
Proof that showing up every single day creates results.

“This isn’t luck. This is consistency. This is sacrifice. This is proof.”

And Alyssa made one thing very clear: “I’m not just showing up. I’m finishing what I started.”
